After dismantling the old rack the kayaks wait for a new home.
Step one, sort the wood out and lay it down in order of need.
With cross-pieces cut and in place I assemble the first side. The second side is done the same way.
With both side assembled they are fitted into the saw horse clamps.
With the use of a ladder I slotted the top bar into the clamps and attached the end support bars to give the rack stability and are used to hold the boats.
I wrapped soft foam on the support bars, which allow the boats to slide well and not scratch the hull.
